Vector Database Engineer

About the Role

Pinecone is the vector database for AI. We are looking for an Engineer to help us build and scale our high-performance vector search engine. You will work on optimizing indexing algorithms, improving query performance, and building the distributed systems that handle billions of vectors for our customers.

Requirements

• Strong background in C++ or Rust
• Experience with distributed systems
• Knowledge of vector search algorithms (HNSW, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with cloud-native architectures
